MARY PERSONS 52, JACKSON 31: Jordan Singleton completed 23-of-33 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 11 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Stephens had 12 catches for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
NORTHEAST 39, WESTSIDE 0: Raiders quarterback Jordan Wiggins accounted for five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing, in Northeast’s first-ever win over Westside. The Seminoles won the previous two meetings in 1998 and 1999.
ACE 45, WILKINSON COUNTY 13: QB Ace Hatcher rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries to lead the Gryphons. Hatcher also passed for 51 yards. William Winters led the ACE defense with 12 tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks.
CENTRAL 30, GREENVILLE 0: The Chargers broke a 22-game losing streak in head coach Jamoski Ward’s first game. The game was stopped at halftime because of lightning.
RUTLAND 54, CRAWFORD COUNTY 6: The Hurricanes snapped a 21-game losing streak to open their season.
PEACH COUNTY 63, PERRY 24: Caiden Ivory passed for 231 yards and two touchdowns for the Trojans. Ashton Barton rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns, and Zion Ellison rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Perry quarterback Mardi Cobb passed for 229 yards and one touchdown.
WARNER ROBINS 34, VETERANS 23: The Warhawks led 10-0 in the first quarter before the Demons rallied for the win. Warner Robins had a 20-6 advantage in the fourth quarter.
NORTHSIDE 42, EAGLE’S LANDING 6: Daniel Williams’ tenure as the Eagles’ head coach started last season with nine losses. But Williams and Northside have now won two straight: last year’s season finale and this year’s season opener.
HOUSTON COUNTY 38, WEST FORSYTH 14: Austin Stinson rushed for three touchdowns as the Bears cruised in the Corky Kell Classic in a game that was played at Georgia State.
HOWARD 27, SOUTHWEST 0: Zavion DeShazier passed for 140 yards and three touchdowns for the Huskies and added one rushing touchdown.
DUBLIN 32, JASPER COUNTY 0: Jamarcus Knight rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns for the Irish, and Travion Bostic added 102 yards and two scores. Dublin finished with 294 yards rushing.
BLECKLEY COUNTY 28, WEST LAURENS 3: Zyion Love rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Royals, and Brody Fleming threw for one touchdown.
BALDWIN 47, WASHINGTON COUNTY 20: Kamden Patterson passed for 333 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown. Patterson also had 10 total tackles from his free safety spot.
MACON COUNTY 36, DOOLY COUNTY 0: Jakeyveon Parker rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs, and Kha'Madj Mitchell completed 10-of-19 passes for 141 yards and one touchdown.
HAWKINSVILLE 25, MARION COUNTY 6: Samir Whitehead had 77 yards and one touchdown for the Red Devils, while Martin McDonald added 69, and Jakori Pickett had 68.
SCHLEY COUNTY 41, TURNER COUNTY 26: Clay Hicks passed for 160 yards and four touchdowns for the Wildcats, and Jeremiah Johnson had 97 yards rushing and one touchdown.
STRATFORD 46, PACELLI 14: Aaron Jefferson rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns for the Eagles, and Morris Butler added 60 yards and three touchdowns. Tucker Johnston completed 13-of-18 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown.
WINDSOR 7, THOMAS JEFFERSON 6: Jaquan Lewis finished with 162 yards rushing and a touchdown on 22 carries to lead the Knights. Hunter McGreggor had 17 tackles and a quarterback hurry for the Windsor defense.
TATTNALL SQUARE 35, PIEDMONT 2: After going 0-10 last season, the Trojans are 2-0 this year, outscoring their first two opponents 82-9.
MOUNT DE SALES 28, CREEKSIDE CHRISTIAN 0: After winning eight games combined during the past four seasons, including just two last year, the Cavaliers are 2-0 in Robert Slocum’s return as head coach.
